Hassan Dahir Aweys appears to be the head of the emerging rebel government in South Somolia. He is an old-timer of the movement, 71 years of age, but is connected with Al-Quaedea and the bombing of the American Emmbassy's in Tanzania and Kenya.
He is now harobrin fighters for a amove against Eithopia. Al Quaeda appears to be supporting him with weapons and fuinding through Eritria and the Frontier in Northern Ethiopia.
